Technical University of Denmark (DTU) develops technology for people. The vision is to use and develop science and engineering to the benefit of society. Two of the departments are DTU Compute and DTU Mechanical Engineering. DTU Compute is based on the philosophy that mathematics and computer science are in everything. IT and mathematics lay the foundations for what we can achieve, constituting the key technologies for future society. DTU Compute’s courses are based on an engineering approach which useful in many future jobs. DTU Compute consists of 11 research sections, all working in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. DTU Mechanical Engineering covers the engineering disciplines connected to the application of basic thermodynamics, fluid and hydrodynamics, structure and solid mechanics, materials and surface engineering for the analysis, design, manufacture and maintenance of mechanical products, systems and large structures and plants. DTU graduates are qualified for a position in a scientific environment, as well as in industry.
