TU Darmstadt is one of the leading technical universities in Germany. Its Department of Computer Science (CS) has more than 30 faculty members and is consistently ranked as one of the top 5 CS departments in Germany. Graphics, Capture and Massively Parallel Computing (GCC) in the Department of Computer Science focuses on geometry and material digitization in graphics and vision as well as massively parallel computation (mostly on modern GPU-based systems. TUDA participates through GCC.
GCC includes about 10 researchers (Ph.D. students), 10 student research assistants plus administrative support. Among other things, his group develops a comprehensive software framework for reconstruction and operates an optical capture lab.
